Gil sees an interest in blacksmithing and how runes can be applied to weaponcraft and armourcraft. He'll help with one of the shop owners under the mountains sometimes, which is probably the only thing keeping his slight body from being all skin and bone.
The Dwarves don't really understand him, but they're mostly endeared to him. Gil came in with unending curiosity for their crafts and their ways and may as well be an honorary member of their clan. Even if he's really fucking annoying sometimes.
He needs glasses and without them he squints a lot and looks like he's mean-mugging everyone. Combined with his lack of interest in social customs he comes off as quite rude... a lot..
Strange little Wild Elf man. On the shorter side for elves and a little more toned than his slim silhouette and nimble limbs would imply.
Was never very athletic or interested in the hunt. Did take an interest in druidism but ended up finding more interest with the crafts of the neighboring Dwarves.. and their runes.
Gil sees untapped potential in the nearly forgotten art of rune-casting and spends a lot of time studying them and trying to craft his own sigils.
He's a little reckless in the name of magic and will sometimes end up getting hurt in the line of his experimentation and study. He's gotten bad burns and even singed his hair totally off once. He's not very vain so it didn't effect him at all though he does keep his hair quite long in general.
He carves sigils into his own skin and occasionally draws blood for spells. He knows that blood makes magic stronger. He's been whispered about because of his.. willingness to invoke this kind of power.
There's not really an established name or study for what he does- but he's often called a witch. Because of that he's accepted the title of 'rune witch'.
Gil pushed his way into the lives of the Dwarves as a young sprout. At first the Dwarven folk were annoyed by this strange little Elf boy who came to see the mall the time but slowly they were endeared by him and accepted him into their lives.
